MEDICAL RESEARCH STANDARDS

AXENIC SYSTEMS (established in 1995) develops controlled modular cleanroom environments for a number of industries and applications, including medical research cleanrooms. Modular cleanrooms are increasing in demand for medical applications because they can comply with the rigid standards of medical cleanrooms, yet are flexible enough to accommodate whatever you need to do your work.

Medical research laboratories need stringent cleanroom conditions. For example, for research involving stem cells or blood, an ISO Class 5/Fed Std 209E Class 100 to ISO Class 7/Fed Std 209E Class 10,000 cleanroom environment is essential, per ISO 14644 standards. Other medical laboratories are subject to ISO 15189, which also has regulations of control of the laboratory environment.

The design of modular cleanrooms meets the strict requirements of medical research applications. Not only do we design high-quality, high performing cleanrooms, we also install and service these cleanrooms to make sure that they meet the clients’ standards.

Hardwall cleanrooms allow a high level of control over static, pressure, humidity, and of course, contamination; they can conform to even the highest cleanroom classifications required in medical research. Our Rigidwall cleanrooms are also an alternative for medical research cleanrooms needing a classification of up to ISO Class 5, while offering more flexibility and versatility than our Hardwall options. With either of these wall varieties, we can construct a free-standing cleanroom or integrate your existing walls, structures, and HVAC.

To best meet the precise needs of the research lab, AXENIC SYSTEMS has a wide range of options when it comes to cleanroom lighting. These include standard and flow through modules; laminar airflow systems with dedicated HVAC or incorporated with existing HVAC systems; and multi-stage air filtration systems, making use of pre-filters, HEPA filters, and ULPA filters.
