Epoxy flooring is a trowelled-on, smooth flooring system with no cracks or joints, making it the finest choice for any environment in which cleanliness is utmost important. This flooring offers unparalleled chemical resistance. Epoxy flooring is tested with exposure to harsh chemicals that include potassium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide, and potassium permanganate—and of which exhibited no signs of corrosion or pitting after immersion in the chemicals for seven days.
Epoxy flooring can endure high temperatures (up to 158°F) because it absorbs and transfers heat, which means the floor can be hygienically steam cleaned without any affecting or any degradation in the surface. They can withstand extremely cold temperatures without any adverse effect on its durability, making it the ideal choice for freezers or chiller areas in which test samples are stockpiled.
